While Witchbane Orb and Orbs of Warding can work, they are way slower than Leyline of Sanctity, which means that by the time you get around to casting them, the damage may already be done
What you choose on the next floor will be dependant on your game state, but both are good options
It is going to get killed for sure. I was worried about it because its essentially making new Magic cards that are never playtested and put out into the world, which is a thing we often dont like to do
In comparison to Legacy which is a more stack-oriented format, Modern decks are mostly filled to the brim with answers to creatures, some even being devastatingly good against Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer, as is the case with Wrenn and Six
Most of the decks Im picturing are essentially in three categories: Hazoret the Fervent decks will be wildly aggressive and be able to deploy quickly enough that the red God will usually be able to attack the turn you choose to cast it
The card is very cute in that it helps you get out extra creatures to attack with, but they always start by attacking Hans
