Originally I had it equipping one of the destroyed monsters with an effect to give it ATK, like Malefic Cyberdark Dragon does, but that felt clunky in comparison, so I changed it to just outright be immune to negation by other Malefic cards, like Harpie's Pet Malefic Dragon
