Last but not least, you can also play effects that prevent extra card draw (like Narset, Parter of Veils) or that punish card draw (like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse)
Soulbond is a very odd mechanic, and one that hasn't been returned to much since it was first printed in the original Innistrad block, but Deadeye Navigator is probably the most iconic of the cards with the mechanic due to the ability to go infinite with some pretty innocent looking cards (plus Dockside Extortionist, but we dont need to worry about that one in Commander anymore!)
That energy eventually allows you to buff up an attacking creature with two +1/+1 counters and a flying keyword counter
However, there are better cards like Exsanguinate or Gray Merchant of Asphodel that offer more impactful life gain or damage potential in certain scenarios, so Drain Life may not always be the optimal choice in competitive play but could still find a place in more casual or thematic decks
If youre into MTG lore and are loving The Brothers War set to release, these cards featuring your favorite Autobots and Decepticons are the cherry on top
