EASTERN EUROPEAN/BALKAN SWEETHEART RING, 19TH CENTURY, SIZE 8 10/22/2024 Bronze of oval form19th century, gilt bronze of iconic form with inscription ribbon among foliage. Cyrillic inscription reads REMEMBER ME. These rings were particularly popular during the Franco Prussian War of 1870 when soldiers called to service gave them to their sweethearts.
