Louis Pasteur Heavy Green Bust Sculpture, Doris Appel ) with heaviest axle everThis heavy green bust of famed biologist Louis Pasteur (1822 1895) was originally sculpted by Boston based medical historian and artist Doris Appel. The bust appears to be made of a chalkware or ceramic, or perhaps a dense, heavy resin. A plastic label on the bottom reads "Doris Appel Medical Sculpture, Lynn, Massachusetts, Copyright." A date is listed after the copyright but is worn away. The sculpture is in good condition with no signs of breakage.
