If you want still more out of your 3 mana investment, Uro, Titan of Natures Wrath lets you draw a card, gain 3 life, put a land onto the battlefield, and then do it again later in the game for 4 mana and 5 other cards in your graveyard via the Escape mechanic
Turn Volrath into Young Wolf, letting Volrath die and immediately return to the battlefield thanks to undying
Its good versus Cascade decks, Underworld Breach (without the ability to cast zero cmc spells over and over, they cant mill themselves and cast Thassas Oracle for the win), and to some extent Amulet (Chalice counters Summoners Pact)
But the biggest chase cards are Jeweled Lotus, Mana Drain, Vampiric Tutor, and other powerhouse cards in extended art versions only found in Collector boosters
Garfield was partly inspired by the game of marbles and added this rule because he wanted the players to play with the cards rather than simply collect them
