Sword of Fire and Ice says, Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, draw a card and deal 2 damage to any target. This only fires when you successfully hit an opponent with the equipped creature
This means that your opponent is free to counter it
That's when Moonlace came out, this time allowing a spell or permanent to become colorless (something every previous lace card couldn't do)
Vronos can phase out your planeswalkers with his +1, which is a pretty great way to guarantee your planeswalkers are going to make it to your next turn
(Many of these heroes were introduced prior to Spider-Verse, but achieved renewed popularity with their appearance in this event.) The bulk lot of the heroes being inspired by their Spider-Verse appearances means the set does feel more Spider-Verse than it does Spider-Man , making Peter Parker himself fade into the background, in a set that should be all about this iconic hero
