With this card, you can do so many different things

When a spell or ability an opponent controls causes you to discard this card, create a token that's a copy of target permanent

It lets you put a +1/+1 counter on a creature on each of your turns, and also taps for mana for X-cost spells before doubling those spells or abilities

I have it myself as a non-commander card in a Locust God deck, as its synergy to draw cards is pretty awesome

Rat Colony gets +1/+0 for each other Rat you control, not just other cards with the same name
